Existing central heating system upgrade with pellet boiler to heat the house and produce hot water. Backup heater is gas combi boiler.
We installed a Klover Smart 80 pellet boiler as an addition to the existing combi boiler heating system. It is very similar to Klover Smart 120 with similar heating capacity, but doesn’t have an oven.
Afterwards we have installed a solar thermal system to produce hot water from spring to autumn.
- The pellet boiler has priority. The gas boiler kicks in only the pellet boiler is not able to produce heat from any reason
- The control is based on Honeywell Evohome controller with 12 zones with radiator actuators and another zone for underfloor heating. Unfortuntely Evohome is not suitable to fully control a complex system like this, so additional heating controller was required.
- It is possible to start the cooker independently from heat demand for cooking. If the boiler gets too hot due to long period of cooking without heat demand the central heating starts to keep the temperature within limits.
The system is fully MCS compilant.
The stove has been located in the kitchen on the main place.
